It all started in 2014 when the Naidoo family opened up the doors of

EASTERN CAFE. We were inspired to open up this

AUTHENTIC INDIAN TAKEWAY to give the residents of

Jozi a taste of Durban.

 

We specialize in Indian Durban Chow and we pride ourselves in using the freshest ingredients, best spices and masala that originates from Durban.

 

Sarra Naidoo and Raj Naidoo who are both originally from Durban are the head chefs of this Takeaway. Their culinary skills swept the hearts of many Johannesburg residents and their passion and love for cooking was the main ingredient to leading our Authentic Indian Takeaway.

With our menu being versatile we are able to offer you an array of mouthwatering dishes to satisfy your cravings. From vegetarian, mutton, beef, chicken and seafood(occasionally).

Our menu includes samoosas, bunny chows, curry and rice, rotis, chow mein, a variety of sandwiches, burgers and many more. 

 

Friday is our specials day where we cook up a storm to satisfy your cravings. Every Friday our special Chicken Breyani and Mutton Breyani is served. In addition we have Crab Curry, Prawn Chutney, Fish Curry as well as Butter Chicken and many more.(These specials alternate every Friday.)
